KeyboardTEK is best known for keyboard programming, but many musical theatre productions require additional electronic music elements beyond keyboards.
Depending on the show, we may be able to provide:
- Drum pad programming
- MalletKAT programming
- Sweetener tracks
- Click tracks
- SFX files
- QLab or playback-related files when available and appropriate
- Guitar amp and effects modeling programming for certain shows
- Limited hardware rentals
Availability varies by title, licensing permissions, and production needs.
Drum and Percussion Programming
Some shows include electronic drum or percussion sounds that are triggered by a live player.
When available, KeyboardTEK may offer programming for drum pads, percussion pads, or MalletKAT-style setups. These files are intended to support a live musician performing the required percussion or electronic music part.
Drum and percussion programming is not the same as replacing the percussionist with a prerecorded track.
Sweetener Tracks, Click Tracks, and SFX
Some productions require additional electronic elements, such as sweeteners, click tracks, or sound effects.
When these elements are part of the licensed materials or are otherwise authorized for use, KeyboardTEK may offer them separately or as part of a show-specific package.
These items are not available for every show. Some materials may require approval from the licensing company or may only be available under specific rental terms.
Guitar Amp and Effects Modeling
In some cases, KeyboardTEK may be able to provide guitar amp or effects modeling programming if a particular show calls for it.
