How to hide and show cues

How to hide individual cues from the main interface cuelist without removing them from the show, and then show them again when needed. Hidden cues still play when reached during performance; hiding only affects what the operator sees in the main interface.

Before you begin

  • A show file is loaded.

To hide a cue

  1. Switch to edit view: View → Edit Cuelist (⌘E  ), or click the Edit toggle in the Bottom bar. The cuelist switches to a multi-column editable table.
  2. Find the cue you want to hide. In edit view, every cue is visible, including ones already hidden from the main interface.
  3. Double-click the Visible cell for that cue. The cell becomes editable.
  4. Use ↑   / ↓   to toggle between Tick (visible) and Cross (hidden), or press Return   to confirm a state shown.
  5. Switch back to the main interface (⌘E   again). Cues set to Cross no longer appear in the cuelist.

Hidden cues still play

Hiding a cue removes it from the main interface cuelist only. If playback reaches a hidden cue during a show, it still plays. To stop a cue playing at all, use the Play column to set it to Skip.

To show a hidden cue

  1. Switch to edit view. Hidden cues appear in the cuelist alongside visible ones.
  2. Double-click the Visible cell of the hidden cue.
  3. Toggle to Tick. The cue returns to the main interface cuelist when you switch back.
