Keyboard Shortcuts
KTPlayer uses two kinds of keyboard input:
- Keyboard shortcuts: application functions, fixed by KTPlayer. Cannot be customized.
- Key commands: playback commands like Go, Stop, Up, Down. User-customizable in Preferences → Assignments. See How to assign and edit key commands.
This reference covers keyboard shortcuts only.
Commands vs shortcuts
A command is the action (Go, Stop, Next cue, etc.). A shortcut is the input that triggers the command (a key, a MIDI message, a pedal). One command can have multiple shortcuts, which is how you get a key and a MIDI button both firing the same thing.
