Preferences
The Preferences window controls audio and MIDI devices, command assignments, playback behavior, and license activations.
Open via KTPlayer → Preferences (⌘, ). The window has four tabs: Devices, Assignments, Behavior, Activations.
Devices tab
Audio device

MIDI devices

Assignments tab
Maps every KTPlayer command to an optional MIDI message and an optional key. The command table lists every command with its current MIDI and Key assignments (or None ). Click any row to select it — the row highlights blue and the assignment editor below activates.

Default key assignments shown where known. MIDI assignments are unassigned by default.

Assignment editor
Below the command table. Edits the currently selected command.

Reset all cannot be undone
Reset all… clears every custom MIDI and key assignment.
Behavior tab

After a GO, the playhead

Reset all cannot be undone
Reset all… restores every behavior setting to its factory default.
Activations tab
Lists every license activated on this machine. Active licenses are sorted first, then expired.

New activation… (button, bottom-left) opens the activation dialog for adding a new license to this machine. See Getting your show file and activating your production license.
Expired licenses remain visible
Expired licenses stay in the list as a history and cannot be removed. If KeyboardTEK has provided an extension, a new activation key or file will be supplied.
