Default key commands
The full set of commands KTPlayer ships with, organized by what they do, with default keyboard shortcuts. Every command can be reassigned to a different key, a MIDI message, or both, in Preferences > Assignments.
Commands vs shortcuts
A command is the action (Go, Stop, Next cue, etc.). A shortcut is the input that triggers the command (a key, a MIDI message, a pedal). One command can have multiple shortcuts, which is how you get a key and a MIDI button both firing the same thing.
No default MIDI assignments
Every default below is a keyboard key. KTPlayer ships with no default MIDI assignments — every MIDI assignment starts blank. Add your own in Preferences > Assignments.

What can be reassigned
All commands above can be reassigned. To customize:
- Open Preferences > Assignments.
- Find the command in the table.
- In the editor below the table, Learn a new key or MIDI message.
- Save and close Preferences.
